Argentinean hunting at “Los dos Hermanos” ensures our guests the opportunity to spend time actually hunting instead of traveling many hours a day to and from the various hunting grounds. The Migueles family owns/manages four Islands that are all set in the middle of the Parana River. (11 kilometers from our Estancia) Upon arriving at the wharf, we take a five-minute cruiser to one of the islands where our team eagerly awaits you for a once in a lifetime duck shoot.
Our Island's boast nine large Laguna where there is an abundance of fresh water fish. Our guests can fish the River Parana instead of taking an afternoon nap, or choose to make a morning of fishing, allowing your shoulder to heal from the previous day of hunting. Fishing gear will be provided. The fish include Dorado, Piranha, Surubi, Boga, and Sabalo—just to name a few. The Island can also provide horseback riding and an old fashioned cattle “round up” that takes place each afternoon, where as many as 800 cows are herded into corrals for safekeeping.
The Province of Entre Rios is very well known for its relentless amount of ducks, doves, and perdiz. The doves fly overhead in flocks anywhere from 10 to 200 at a time. This will mesmerize even the most ardent and experienced of hunters. There are many articles and advertisements from various outfitters that proclaim they have all the birds. The fact is; there are literally millions of birds in Entre Rios.
The birds are considered to be a plague in Argentina, as they destroy local crops with ease in a short time. Hunting these fast-flying, cork-screwing menaces provides an escape for the local farmers. We do limit 50 ducks per day per hunter, but allow as many doves as your shoulder can stand.
Estancia Los dos Hermanos carries out grain feeding programs on the Islands and the other related hunting grounds in order that we keep a good capacity of birds for the enthusiastic hunter. These areas do not interfere with the normal breeding and habitation grounds of the birds.
Transport
When our guests arrive at the airport in Buenos Aires, our personal Chauffer will assist with any gun permits or other requirements our guests need. Private air charter is available for a nominal fee.
